Who we are
We're LOVE OVER FEAR SDN. BHD. (202201028522), the company behind YouthOS. We're based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. YouthOS is a platform that connects youth with events, jobs, communities, and workshops — basically everything you need to level up.
When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean LOVE OVER FEAR SDN. BHD. When we say "you", we mean you — the awesome person using YouthOS.
What we collect (and why)
We're not here to collect your life story. Here's exactly what we gather and the reason behind each one:
Account info
Your name, email, profile photo, and university/organization.
Event registrations
Which events you sign up for, check-in status, and ticket info.
Job applications
Your resume, cover letter, and application history.
Community activity
Posts, discussions, reactions, and community memberships.
Usage data
Pages visited, features used, device type, and crash logs.
Payment info
Transaction records for paid events (processed by BillPlz).
What we don't do
Just as important as what we do — here's what we'll never do:
Sell your data to advertisers
Share your info without your consent
Send you spam or unwanted marketing
Store your credit card details
Track you across the internet
Keep your data after you delete your account
How we protect your data
We take security seriously. Your data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure with enterprise-grade security. Here's what we do:
Encryption in transit
All data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Encryption at rest
Your data is encrypted when stored on our servers using AES-256 encryption.
Security rules
Firestore security rules ensure users can only access their own data and authorized community content.
Regular reviews
We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed.
Third-party services we use
We use a few trusted services to run YouthOS. Here's who they are and what they do:

Your rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and general best practices, you have the right to:
Access your data
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Correct your data
Update or fix any inaccurate information in your profile.
Delete your data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Withdraw consent
Opt out of optional data collection (like analytics) at any time.
Data portability
Get your data in a readable format to take with you.

Children's privacy
YouthOS is designed for users aged 13 and above. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll promptly delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised.
We won't reduce your rights under this policy without your explicit consent.
