The agreement
By using YouthOS — whether that's the mobile app, web app, or any of our services — you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, that's cool, but you shouldn't use the platform.
These terms are a contract between you and LOVE OVER FEAR SDN. BHD. (202201028522), a company registered in Malaysia. We operate the YouthOS platform from Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
Who can use YouthOS
To use YouthOS, you need to:
Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country)
Provide accurate information when creating your account
Keep your login credentials secure (don't share your password)
Not have been previously banned from the platform
Heads up: You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. If someone else uses your account, you're still on the hook. Keep that password safe!
The rules (a.k.a. don't be that person)
YouthOS is a community. To keep it awesome for everyone, here's what's not cool:
Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
Posting spam, scams, or misleading content
Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
Posting illegal, harmful, or explicit content
Attempting to hack, scrape, or exploit the platform
Using bots or automated tools without permission
Creating events with false or misleading information
Sharing other users' personal info without consent
Your content
When you post stuff on YouthOS — event descriptions, discussion posts, profile info, community posts — that content is still yours. You own it.
However, by posting on YouthOS, you give us permission to display, share, and distribute your content within the platform. This is so other users can actually see your posts, event listings can be shown, and the platform can function normally.
We won't use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties. If you delete your content, we'll remove it from the platform (though cached versions may take a short time to disappear).
What about my resume and applications?
Your job applications and resume are shared only with the employers you apply to. We don't make them public or share them with anyone else.
Events & payments
YouthOS lets you discover, register for, and manage events. Here's how it works:
Free events
Register and attend for free. You can cancel your registration at any time before the event.
Paid events
Payments are processed through BillPlz, a Malaysian payment gateway. We don't store your credit card or bank details — BillPlz handles all of that securely.
Event ticket withdrawals
If you're an organiser withdrawing collected ticket money:
- • A processing fee of RM 1.50 applies per withdrawal
- • Withdrawals are processed to the bank account linked to your BillPlz account
- • Failed withdrawals due to incorrect bank info are non-refundable
- • Only authorized account holders can initiate withdrawals
QR code check-in
Event tickets include an encrypted QR code for check-in. Each QR code can only be used once — once scanned, the ticket is marked as redeemed. No double-entries!
What happens if you break the rules
We hope we never have to use this section, but if you violate these terms, we may:
Send a warning
For minor first-time violations, we'll reach out and explain what went wrong.
Remove content
Take down posts, events, or other content that violates these terms.
Suspend your account
Temporarily or permanently disable your access for serious or repeated violations.
We'll always try to be fair and proportional. If you think we made a mistake, reach out to us and we'll review the decision.
The fine print
We do our best to keep YouthOS running smoothly, but here are some important things to know:
"As is" service: YouthOS is provided "as is". We don't guarantee the platform will be available 100% of the time or completely bug-free (we're humans building this, after all).
Third-party content: We're not responsible for content posted by other users, event organisers, or employers. While we moderate the platform, we can't review everything in real-time.
Event responsibility: Event organisers are responsible for their events. YouthOS acts as a platform connecting organisers with attendees — we don't organize or guarantee the quality of events listed on the platform.
Job listings: Similarly, we don't vet or guarantee job listings. Always do your own research before accepting any position.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
But honestly, we'd prefer to resolve any issues through a friendly conversation before anyone involves lawyers. Just email us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as YouthOS evolves. When we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know through the app or via email. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.
We'll always keep a record of previous versions if you need to reference them.
